It’s in the bold strokes of a mural spread across a cracked city wall. It’s in the remains of ancient temples hidden beneath colonial cathedrals. It’s a city that refuses to sit still. It is layered, loud, and alive in the best possible way.

In this guide, I am going to share a brief (and believe it or not, pretty fascinating) history of Mexico City to set the scene before we dive into the good stuff.
